This historic residence, Trulli Italia, is located in the wonderful Valle D’Itria, where places and flavours charm your soul.
Trulli Italia is an old structure, over 200 years old, appropriately renovated and furnished while maintaining the typical style of the area and the charm of tradition. The high stone vaults and the pointed cones tower in this part of Apulia, providing the tourist with the opportunity of a unique and relaxing stay just a short distance from the Adriatic coast. These architectural examples are now heritage of humanity: not are only the trulli of Alberobello protected by Unesco, but all those of the Valle D’Itria as well, like beautiful Trulli Italia. The property, in addition to the central building, is further embellished by a large swimming pool: a body of deep blue water, surrounded by a lawn and a stone patio where you can relax. The surrounding garden offers striking natural views: olive trees blend with fruit trees and Mediterranean plants while typical dry stone walls bound the property. A short distance away are famous places you can visit, like Alberobello, Ostuni, Cisternino, Bari, Locorotondo, Castellana Grotte, Fasano, Grottaglie, Martina Franca, Polignano a Mare, Gallipoli, Otranto and Lecce.
The house has just one floor: the main entrance leads into the large central living room where the colours of the walls blend with elements of design. The living room leads to the fully-equipped kitchen that faces the covered patio. On the right side of the building, a corridor leads to the sleeping area consisting of a small sitting room with stone fireplace and a queen-size sofa bed; the first door on the left leads to a bathroom with shower; continuing onwards are three bedrooms, two double and one with bunk bed and additional single bed. The sleeping area is completed by another bathroom with shower.
The 14,000 sq m grounds are planted with olive groves and orchards with an area of the garden dedicated to children with a mini playground. Furthermore, you can dine outdoors under two stone verandas facing the kitchen and the central living room and savour the typical flavours of the Apulian table.
The Swimming Pool
The pool area is on the same level as the trullo which is about 10 m away. It is ideal for relaxing completely under the hot Apulian sun. The pool measures 10 x 4 m with a variable depth form 1,40 m to 1,60 m. Lined in sky-blue PVC, it has chlorine purification, internal lighting and large steps for entry to the water. The sunbathing area is paved in stone and there is a large covered patio furnished with sunbeds and a nice poolside bar area. The pool is open from the last Saturday of April to the first Saturday of October.
The Valle d’Itria welcomes its visitors into an expanse of ancient olive trees, surrounded by a redolent red earth which renders the surrounding landscape a succession of unique colour effects with, in the background, the skyline punctuated by the cupolas and pinnacles of the famous trulli. Also known as the Valle dei Trulli (Valley of the Trulli), it stretches between the provinces of Bari, Brindisi and Taranto and includes the towns of Alberobello, Castellana Grotte, Ostuni, Locorotondo, Ceglie, Cisternino, Fasano, Martina Franca, Noci and Putignano. In the heart of the Valle d’Itria, not to be missed is Alberobello with its trulli, Unesco World Heritage site; along all the valley are scattered villages with these typical constructions, like Cisternino and Locorotondo. Nearby are the famous Grotte di Castellana which have often been the ideal setting for performances of Dante’s Inferno.
